Blood tests can be Used to Detect Cancer Early

A study shows that a new high intensity approach to genomic sequencing can locate circulating tumor DNA at a high rate in patients with advanced breast, lung and prostate cancer.

Genetic changes found in tumor samples were also detected in blood samples with help of this new approach. Researchers will now use this technology in hopes of developing a new blood test to detect cancer early.
